Myanmar: Inle Lake
The Inle Lake is nested among high hills is a site of great beauty. It is home to the Intha people. Their villages are built in the middle of the lake. The villages are surrounded by floating gardens of very high fertility. The Intha people are famous for their technique of rowing wrapping one of the legs around the oar to relieve and free arms for fishing. The mountains around the Inle Lake are a good area for trekking to the nearby villages of different minorities.
