  Vietnam: Mekong Delta

The Mekong Delta is located beetween Saigon and the Cambodian border. It takes only a 4 hour ride to get there. But it´s a complete different world. Original, strange, exotic are only a few words to describe the magic of the Mekong Delta. The nature is overwhelming, the people are to friendly to describe.
The area is one of the worlds largest river deltas, the size is about 60000 sq Km. The earth is very fertile and so it´s the granary of the country. It is possible to grow three crops of rice every year. This is more rice, than Vietnam needs, meanwhile Vietnam is one of the worlds biggest rice exporters.
